FAQ

Everything you need to know about Juris.

From how it works to how it fits into your organization.

General

What is Juris?

+

Juris is a decision intelligence platform that helps organizations formalize, certify, and monitor their decision logic. We transform tacit knowledge and undocumented rules into explicit, traceable decision processes that can be audited, explained, and continuously monitored for consistency.

Does Juris automate decisions?

+

No. Juris does not automate decisions or replace human judgment. Instead, we make decision logic explicit and traceable. Humans remain in control of decisions — Juris ensures those decisions can be explained, defended, and monitored for consistency.

Who uses Juris?

+

Juris serves organizations where decisions carry regulatory, legal, or reputational stakes — primarily in banking and financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, government agencies, and venture capital. Our customers share a common need: making high-stakes decisions that must be defensible.

How is Juris different from rules engines or BPM tools?

+

Rules engines execute predefined logic. BPM tools manage workflows. Juris does something different: we discover, formalize, and certify the decision logic that already exists in your organization — whether in experts' heads, legacy systems, or scattered documentation. We don't replace your decision processes; we make them visible and defensible.

Implementation

How long does implementation take?

+

Implementation timelines vary based on scope and complexity. A focused pilot — certifying decision logic for a single process — typically takes 4-8 weeks. Enterprise-wide deployments are phased over 3-6 months, with value delivered incrementally from the first certified process.

What does the implementation process involve?

+

Implementation follows four phases: (1) Discovery — we analyze historical decisions and work with experts to reconstruct actual decision logic; (2) Formalization — we transform that logic into certified rules; (3) Integration — we connect Juris to your existing systems; (4) Monitoring — we enable continuous drift detection and consistency reporting.

What systems does Juris integrate with?

+

Juris provides REST APIs and webhooks for integration with any modern system. We have pre-built connectors for major enterprise platforms including Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, and common data warehouses. For legacy systems, we work with your team to establish appropriate integration patterns.

What resources are required from our team?

+

Successful implementation requires access to: (1) subject matter experts who understand current decision processes; (2) historical decision data for analysis; (3) IT resources for system integration. We provide detailed planning to minimize demands on your team while ensuring knowledge transfer.

Security & Compliance

What security certifications does Juris have?

+

Juris is SOC 2 Type II certified and ISO 27001 compliant. We support GDPR, HIPAA, and industry-specific requirements. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit, with role-based access controls and comprehensive audit logging.

Can Juris be deployed on-premise?

+

Yes. Juris offers three deployment options: (1) Juris Cloud — our fully managed SaaS offering; (2) Private Cloud — dedicated single-tenant deployment in your preferred cloud provider; (3) On-Premise — full deployment within your own data center for organizations requiring complete data sovereignty.

How does Juris handle sensitive data?

+

Juris can operate on anonymized or tokenized data for decision logic discovery and certification. For ongoing monitoring, we support data masking and can integrate with your existing data governance frameworks. Your sensitive data never needs to leave your environment.

"Juris makes the link between policy and decision explicit, enforceable, and auditable — by design."
